The 23rd annual Michelob Dayton Reggae Festival was held Sunday Sept. 5 at Dave Hall Plaza in downtown Dayton. Seven reggae bands performed throughout the day including Mista Dread, Lucky Spaulding and Seefari. Vendors were also on hand selling a variety of clothing, crafts and musical instruments.

The WYSO Summer Concert was held Sunday Aug. 29 at Carillon Park in Dayton. The free event featured music by C. Wright's Parlour Tricks, Ruckus Roboticus and the Rev. Cool Arkestra and Dance Ensemble. A group of street style dancers performed and gave lessons to the crowd.

The African American Cultural Festival was held at RiverScape MetroPark in Dayton Saturday Aug. 28. Those attending enjoyed a variety of live music including, gospel, jazz, rap and a performance by singer Kelly Price. Traditional African dancing and drumming was performed in an African village setting. Merchandise, food and health screenings were also on hand.
