Japanese climber becomes oldest person to reach Mt Everest summit

Yuichiro Miura -- the oldest man to ever scale Mount Everest The 80-year-old reached the top of his record-breaking ascent on Thursday. Miura, who has had heart surgery four times, first climbed Everest in 2003 and repeated the feat five years later. He told his family by phone he had again reached the summit. His wife had some words of advice. "I think it's best if you just come down quickly now," she told him.
