My one and only time I went to Rue Dumaine the food was absolutely exquisite! A pleasure on your taste buds and the wines were perfect with each course!

I’ve been to Rue Domaine twice. I never knew food could taste so amazing. It’s a party for your taste buds! What Tess said (below) is true…the food is truly inspiring. I attempted to copy their Belgian Endive salad at home. I didn’t even come close to the amazing flavor of Rue Domaines…but it was fun trying!

This voting “best of Dayton” contest is a Joke and a fraud. My company , Stafford Jewelers, was part of last weeks “best Jeweler” contest. Much to our surprise and disapointment, one of the Jewelers dumped in 1700 votes on Sunday night (the last night of the contest over a 2 hour period) to take the Best of Dayton title away from us. When I contacted Ms. Fong at the Dayton Daily I was advised that they would look in to it. Well they did and here is her responce: Hi Mr. Stafford, I just tried to call you and was unable to get a voicemail recording, so I wanted to get back with you in some form. We’ve had our tech team look into the Best of Dayton voting, and we did notice something suspect happening at approximately 6 p.m. Sunday. However, we cannot conclude with certainty that this was a case of automated voting, which violates our rules, of course. The votes were coming from multiple sources). But still the volume of activity at that time was definitely not normal. I have consulted with Mike Goheen, the online director for Cox Ohio Publishing, and we believe the best way to move forward is to nullify this vote and have another vote in this same category later this year. We will be eliminating the category Best View and placing Best Jewelry Store up for vote again Sept. 8-14 (that is Labor Day week, so voting will run from Tuesday through the following Monday). Thank you for raising concerns. I would be happy to discuss this with you in more detail if you’d like. I will be bouncing in and out of some meetings this afternoon, but if I miss your call I will get back with you as soon as I can. Ms. Fong decision not to follow the rules or the spirit of the contest only shows that if your a Dayton Daily advertising client and you get caught cheating, you will get a “free pass” /do over in the contest. My company will not ever be a part of this contest again and would urge everyone to rethink this “best of Dayton” contest. John M. Stafford Founder Stafford Jewelers

Hey John Stafford, founder Stafford Jewelers: Please stop embarrassing yourself and hurting your business. Unless, of course, you have a comment about best splurge dining.

There is no restaurant in Montgy. County compared with L’Auberge. If you want to really go on a splurge go to L’Auberge. Just walk in the front or side Bistro door and you will feel the ambience immediately. From Josef to his staff of waiters and waitresses, bar tenders, wine experts, they always make you feel special. Their cooks are the best.

Rue Dumaine is not just a splurge restaurant. Too many people are intimidated by the name and Anne’s celebrity chef status. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious and everyone is welcome. Instead of going to a local chain restaurant a couple of times a week, go to Rue Dumaine. Anne Kearney is a phenomenal chef and her food is inspiring.
