Dragons allow seven hits in 6-0 victory

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Enerio Del Rosario and Daniel Guerrero combined on a seven-hit shutout as the Dayton Dragons defeated the West Michigan Whitecaps 6-0 on Saturday, Aug. 23.

The win cut the Dragons' "magic number" to six to clinch a playoff berth. Any combination of Dayton wins and losses by the Fort Wayne Wizards totaling six will put the Dragons in the playoffs.

They lead Fort Wayne by four games in the wildcard race with nine games to play.

International fashion flair will rock Dayton a week earlier than usual. The Ebony Fashion Fair, a longtime day-after-Thanksgiving tradition, catwalks into the Dayton Convention Center on Friday, Nov. 21. Tickets are $25 to $30. The traveling fashion show is expected to raise $10,000 to $12,000 for National Council of Negro Women programs. More »
