UD, WSU softball teams part of College Showcase

WEST CARROLLTON — Several area college softball teams will participate in the 2008 College Showcase today, Sept. 20, and Sunday at West Carrollton High School.

Wright State is scheduled to face Morehead State at 11:30 a.m. in its first game today, and Dayton will face Northern Kentucky at 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

Miami University, Urbana and Cedarville also will participate in the Showcase, sponsored by the Miami Valley Sports Foundation and the Miami Valley Express.

Ebony Fashion Fair

International fashion flair will rock Dayton a week earlier than usual. The Ebony Fashion Fair, a longtime day-after-Thanksgiving tradition, catwalks into the Dayton Convention Center on Friday, Nov. 21. Tickets are $25 to $30. The traveling fashion show is expected to raise $10,000 to $12,000 for National Council of Negro Women programs. More »
