Cooper wins second player of year honor
South graduate led Wooster to another NCAA Division III tournament berth.

Wooster senior James Cooper, a South graduate, was named the 2008 North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year on Wednesday, March 5.
Cooper is the third player in conference history to win the award twice. He also won as a sophomore.

James Cooper"It's a great honor to win it twice in a career," Cooper said on Wednesday as he rode the team bus to Rock Island, Ill., where Wooster plays on Friday, March 7, in the first round of the NCAA Division III tournament.
Cooper led the NCAC in scoring (19.4 points per game) and ranked second in 3-point shooting percentage (49.2) and 3-pointers made per game (2.37).
Wittenberg junior Gregg Hill was named to the All-NCAC first team for the first time, and senior Brandan Barabino was named to the second team.
Ohio Wesleyan senior Dustin Rudegeair, a Yellow Springs graduate, was named to the first team.
Kenyon's Matt Croci, a Wittenberg graduate, was named coach of the year.
On the women's side, Wittenberg senior Katie Gregorevich was named to the first team for the second year in a row. Sophomore Stephanie Boardman made the second team, and sophomore Carrie Dyer earned an honorable mention.
Kenyon senior Anne Dugan was named NCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Year, and Kenyon's Suzanne Helfant was named coach of the year.
