Witt women slip past the Gators

MEADVILLE, Pa. — Kristen Donawerth hit a jumper with 14 seconds remaining to give the Wittenberg University women's basketball team a 76-75 victory over host Allegheny College in North Coast Athletic Conference action on Friday.
The Gators (7-13, 4-7 NCAC) shot over 60 percent from the field in first half to take a 44-37 lead at half. The Tigers outscored Allegheny 39-31 in the second half, sparked by 11-for-14 shooting from the free-throw line.

Carrie Dyer scored a career-high 22 points, Katie Gregorevich had 18 points, and Ali Rohlfs added 12 points and nine rebounds for Wittenberg. With the win, the Tigers (10-9, 9-3 NCAC) remained in second place in the NCAC.
