Dayton Daily News Reds writer Hal McCoy (left) was inducted into the writers' wing of Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday. Below are three of the biggest stories of his career. McCoy, who began covering the Reds on a daily basis in 1973 for the Dayton Daily News, joins fellow Dayton newspapermen Si Burick (1982) and Ritter Collett (1991) in the writers' wing of the Baseball Hall of Fame.
