Catawba Island

  • Headquarters for Kelleys Island, South Bass, Oak Point, Middle Bass Island, Marblehead Lighthouse state parks
  • A fishing pier, launch ramp, picnic shelter, picnic areas
  • Swimming is permitted at your own risk.

Kelleys Island

  • Campground, 45 non-electric and 84 electric
  • Showers, flush toilets, and a dump station
  • Volleyball court and playground
  • Pet camping is permitted on designated sites
  • 6 miles of hiking trails
  • Picnic areas, a picnic shelter, launch ramps, fishing access
  • 100-foot swimming beach are also available.
  • Limited hunting is permitted in designated areas
  • 2 premium Yurts, efficiency kitchen, bath with shower. furnished living area
  • 2 Rent-A-Camp units are available during the summer

Oak Point

Located on the northwestern tip of South Bass Island, this day-use park offers a scenic picnic area, fishing access and overnight docking facilities.

South Bass Island

  • Campground, 125 non-electric sites, 10 full service sites with electric, water and sewer hook-ups.
  • Also has flush toilets, showers, and a dump station
  • Pet camping is permitted on designated sites
  • 5 cabents, combining the best features of a cabin and tent, available through a lottery system
  • Rustic cabin located near the park office, available through a lottery system
  • 2 picnic shelters, picnic areas, launch ramp, fishing pier and small stone beach area are also available. South Bass Island is accessible by ferry from Port Clinton or Catawba Island

Middle Bass Island

  • Dockage is available by reservation
  • Contact the Catawba Island park office

Marblehead Lighthouse

Marblehead Lighthouse, built in 1821, is the oldest lighthouse in continuous operation on the Great Lakes. Lighthouse tours are offered summer weekdays, and the on-site keepers house features exhibits on the region's maritime history.

The Gem City Rollergirls are looking for a few good women to join their team. Basic skating ability and the willingness to learn one of the fastest-growing sports for women in the nation is all that's required. Check out an open practice and workshop for women ages 18 and older this Sunday, Nov. 23, at Kettering's Skateworld. If nothing else, maybe you can get in a good workout to offset some of those Thanksgiving Day calories. More »
