Boating:

  • Unlimited horsepower boating
  • 4 boat ramps and 510 boat docks for rental
  • Skiing is popular in the open zone area
  • Only inland lake in Ohio with lighted buoys for night navigation

Fishing & hunting:

  • Largemouth bass, saugeye, white bass, crappie, bluegill, walleye, yellow perch, catfish
  • Hunting is permitted in designated areas only
  • A valid Ohio hunting and/or fishing license is required

Trails:

  • 3-mile Cherokee Trail through brushy habitat
  • 1-mile Pew Island Trail, encircles Pew Island providing a spectacular view of Indian Lake
  • 3-mile paved bikeway (walkers and joggers are welcome to use the bikeway)

Swimming:

  • Two public beaches
  • A beach for camper use located near the campground
  • Four designated boat/swim areas.

Picnic areas:

  • Features a number of shaded areas equipped with tables and grills
  • 5 shelters may be reserved by calling the park office

Winter activities

  • Cross-Country Skiing
  • Ice Fishing
  • Ice Skating
  • Snowmobiling

The Gem City Rollergirls are looking for a few good women to join their team. Basic skating ability and the willingness to learn one of the fastest-growing sports for women in the nation is all that's required. Check out an open practice and workshop for women ages 18 and older this Sunday, Nov. 23, at Kettering's Skateworld.
