The Parks and Recreation District manages over 1200 acres of parks and facilities, and 18 miles of trails.

A full service family aquatic experience is available at this Olympic sized pool. The pool is located next to Snyder Park. The pool is open beginning in late May until closing in late August. Season passes may be purchased at the Springfield Family Waterworks or at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District office at 76 East High Street Springfield. Call the Springfield Family Waterworks at (937) 328-3963 or the District office at (937) 328-PARK.

The Gem City Rollergirls are looking for a few good women to join their team. Basic skating ability and the willingness to learn one of the fastest-growing sports for women in the nation is all that's required. Check out an open practice and workshop for women ages 18 and older this Sunday, Nov. 23, at Kettering's Skateworld.
