Palmer should consider shutting it down

CARSON NEEDS TO SEE

THE BIG PICTURE; AIM

FOR FUTURE, FORGET

THE UGLY 2008 SEASON

HIS PRIDE & LOVE OF COMPETITION

WON’T LET HIM IDLE ON SIDELINES

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer (inflamed right elbow) has been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Paul Brown Stadium after being examined by elbow specialist Dr. David Altchek, who “recommended a further conservative approach,” according to Bengals coach Marvin Lewis.

Backup quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick will start in place of Palmer, who will miss his third game in four weeks as he rests his ailing elbow.

Lewis seems willing to keep all options open, but his decision to sit Palmer this early in the week raises speculation that Palmer could be sidelined for several weeks or longer.

As much as Palmer wants to play, he should consider shutting it down until after the Nov. 9 bye.

He needs to look at the big picture. As the face of the Cincinnati Bengals franchise, his future is more important than attempting to salvage a season that’s already lost.

What should Carson Palmer do with his bum right elbow?
Shut it down for the year
  Try to play week-to-week
Come back after Nov. 9 bye

I’m not getting the sense that this is going to be a ‘rest and it will all be better’ kind of thing, unless this is the most overblown case of tendonitis in the history of the league.

Is there any way the entire team can be shut down?

Amelia's Bistro, Bellbrook, restaurant review [review]

Call it comfort food, gourmet style. From crab raviolis with vanilla lobster sauce, to a hand-cut and brined pork chop served with a fig jam, to a simply "Big-Ass Cake" that's a chocolate lover's dream, Amelia's has the potential to become a destination restaurant — worth the drive to Bellbrook.
