The biggest announcement? The lineup of The Bunbury Music Festival, an alternative, indie-loving music fest in downtown Cincinnati, which will feature roughly 80 live performances July 12-14.

The July 12 lineup is headlined by fun., the band coming off a huge year and a Grammy Award for Best New Artist. The Saturday headliner is MGMT, and Sunday’s main act is The National. Other acts on the schedule include Walk the Moon, Tegan & Sara, Devotchka, Tokyo Police Club;Cake, Twenty One Pilots, Atlas Genius, Chairlift; and Belle & Sebastian, Yo La Tengo, Camera Obscura.

The festival, which will celebrate its second year, will be held along the banks of the Ohio River at Sawyer Point and Yeatman’s Cove. Tickets for the event are $55 for a one-day pass and $110 for a three-day pass and are on sale now at www.bunburyfestival.com/tickets.     There have been many new show announcements for this summer at Kettering’s Fraze Pavilion, 695 Lincoln Park Blvd. On July 28 Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers featuring Edie Brickell will take the stage for an evening of music and comedy. Then on Aug. 10 BWB featuring Rick Braun, Kirk Whalum and Norman Brown will headline Festival of the Vine. And $2 Tuesdays are back. This years lineup will feature McGuffey Lane (June 11), Soul Pocket Band (July 16), Street Corner Symphony and Eleventh Hour (Aug. 6).
