David Germain

The Associated Press

"With its O. Henry-style gotcha ending, Matheson's story is perfect for 'The Twilight Zone.' But when Kelly reaches that surprise climax from the short story, he's sadly just getting started."

"Unfortunately, this was a longer movie than it needed to be. The plot was interesting until it got really silly with the sci-fi stuff. Maybe I should have read up on it first. Anyway, the acting is average and although the ending is not 100% predictable you do find yourself just wishing it would end so you can leave. Save your money and watch this on cable...."

See all kinds of cans tonight at Brixx [things to do]

Femme Fatale Fitness of Centerville has come up with an attention-getting way to promote food donation. The studio, which offers classes in pole dance, burlesque and "tease-yoga," will present its first playfully named "Cans for Cans" benefit performance at 8:30 p.m. today, Nov. 20, at Brixx Ice Co., 500 E. First St. Admission is five canned or otherwise non-perishable food items, but vouchers benefiting the food bank can also be purchased at the restaurant and bar. The evening will include pole dance, burlesque, live music, darts, cornhole, classic cars, pin-up photo opportunities, makeup and hair demonstrations. More »
