Saturday, May 03, 2008

Name: David Wenig

From: Oakwood

Age: 25

Volunteers for: American Red Cross, Dayton Area Chapter; Generation Dayton; Dayton Art Institute Oktoberfest; Alpha Delta Pi

Volunteer Since: lifelong

Why he volunteers: "I have been volunteering since I was a child. My parents were always active, and they have always allowed me to help. Volunteering is a great way to meet people, have fun and have a sense of purpose for your free time." (David)

Why it's important: "Dave Wenig has been an asset to Generation Dayton as a member who has donated numerous hours to not only our organization, but also to the organizations we support. Dave has volunteered on the Community Service Committee for the past two years for Generation Dayton. Through his time and effort it is evident that Dave is committed to the community and making it a better place to live, work and play." (Stephanie Yenn, Training and Development Manager, Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce)
