Name: Amber Cristofaro

From: Miamisburg

Age: 31

Volunteers for: Miami Valley Pet Therapy Association (and formerly Daybreak)

Volunteer Since: May 2007

Why she volunteers: "I think it's important to give back whenever I can, but really it's a great excuse to do something I love such as meeting new people, hanging out with my dog and sharing a smile with someone who needs it." (Amber)

Why it's important: "Amber and Brutus have been instrumental in helping get numerous library reading programs up and going in the Dayton area. They are very big Ohio State fans and you will normally see Brutus dressed up in Ohio State items when visiting." (Kelly McMullen, Miami Valley Pet Therapy Association Administrative Specialist)
