Cadillac Jack's
Each location has its own distinct flavor
Friday, January 25, 2008
Just as sleek new models are introduced in Detroit, a new model of Cadillac Jack's has found its way to the Dayton market. Ranging from the old-school classic to the tricked-out sportster, a look under the hood reveals that not all models are created equal.
While they are not all under the same management, each location shares basic elements, including menu items and overall philosophy.

The most recent additions to the Cadillac lineup are the Beavercreek and Miamisburg locations. These high-octane models feature all the bells and whistles with TVs and neon signs plastering the walls — more neon than you ever thought possible — working together to create an energy and buzz that makes you feel like you've been dropped in the middle of Times Square (as much as a Midwest sports bar can feel that way).
The older locations, while not offering nearly as many sophisticated visual features, are comfortable nonetheless.
In terms of menu items, the choices are dependable standbys with a few exceptions. If you are in Huber Heights, for example, you might consider ordering the standout Lumpia Filipino egg roll appetizer ($5.45 for six), a thin, crunchy cigar-shaped spring roll with a spicy pork filling, served alongside a sweet, tangy dipping sauce.
At the Beavercreek and Miamisburg locations, the Mexican Pizza made with enchilada sauce, spicy beef, cheddar cheese, onions, tomatoes and the choice of jalapeño or banana peppers ($6.29 for a 6-inch, $10.89 for a 10-inch or $16.99 for a 14-inch) raised the bar for pizzas at the bar. Using the enchilada sauce as a base elevated the simple ingredient list giving fiery racing stripes to an otherwise standard-model pizza.
While the prices and sauces vary slightly by location, a common feature to all of the Cadillac Jack's locations are the wings. Some of the optional sauces include charged (medium), supercharged (hot) and turbo-charged (which will blow your engine).
Each location offers a full bar and varying beers on tap to fuel up with when making a pit stop; nothing outrageous, but nothing missing from a standard bar, either.
One selling point, especially for the newer locations, is the ability to accommodate larger groups.
When it comes to shopping for a sporty model or a reliable sedan, the various models of Cadillac Jack's have plenty to offer; the trick is knowing what you're looking for when deciding where to visit.
