Pub-restaurant to join forces with Italian deli

WASHINGTON TWP., Montgomery County — Talegators and Pietro Mauro's Italian Deli will join forces next month to add several Italian specialties to the restaurant-pub's menu, Talegators co-owner Dave Ulrich announced Monday, April 14.

The owners of Pietro Mauro's Italian Deli, 5844 Bigger Road, closed the deli over the weekend and over the next month will move into part of Talegator's, 6270 Far Hills Ave., Ulrich said. A grand opening and ribbon-cutting are scheduled for May 15.

Extras

Pietro Mauro's Italian Deli opened in 2004 and specializes in southern Italian dishes. In its new location inside Talegators, Mauro's will operate a deli, continuing to offer homemade breads, desserts and other specialties, and will prepare Talegators' menu. The pub and grill's signature items, including its wings, burgers and fish sandwiches, will be available alongside the Italian cuisine, Ulrich said.

After the grand opening, Talegators and Mauro's will serve lunch and dinner six days a week. They will be closed Mondays.

Ulrich said he had been exploring the possibility of moving Talegators, but the collaboration with Mauro's has prompted him to remove the "For Lease" sign in front of the pub-grill. For more information, contact Talegators at (937) 424-4858.
