A BIG THANKS to all that vote The Pub at the Greene, Beavercreek as ‘Best Bar’ in Dayton…

Lots of people love South Park Tavern. They have the best selection of beer in the city. The pizza is great as well. And it’s not the pretentious atmosphere found at some of the trendy bars on the list.

The Pub at the Greene is hands down the best bar in Dayton. The service is always top notch, the food is always delicious, there are well over 50 beers to choose from, which ANY server can steer you in the right direction if you don’t know what you like, not to mention other drinks as well. It’s a comfortable environment for anyone.

The voting for the South Park Tavern is being gamed too. No way is that place half as good as some of the others on that list that I’ve been to.

It’s amazing how Peaches in Yellow Springs WON last year with over 2100 votes, considering that there’s only around 3500 people who actually live in Yellow Springs…Odd

Why does Slyder’s keep getting left off of these lists?!? How does Tim’s (UD) make the list over Kramer’s? Kramer’s is the better UD bar.

Blind Bobs is a great place, but I have to give it to South Park Tavern. Friendly staff, nice patio, outstanding selection of rotating taps and how can you beat one of their $5.95 calzones?

Well, by their TOS/rules, emailing your club members is totally permissable:
“Again, the way to get lots of votes is to get the word out to your customers by e-mail, your own web site, signs in your business or wearing a sandwich board.”
Personally, I’m a fan of South Park Tavern and Chappy’s. I like Therapy Cafe, but I feel $9+ for a mixed drink is a little high, no matter how fancy it is.

Dear D. Greene… Re: The Pub : check the rules matey, it says to contact your regulars, MUG CLUB members are regulars, who bought mugs to enjoy the 27 on tap beers… As for over priced…tough one that, they serve all thier beers in 20 oz Imperial glasses not the 16oz most bars pass off as a pint and as far as I’m aware, if you have a Pub that can hold over 400 and it’s overcrowded then it’s a pretty good indicator that it’s doing something right….FYI: CINCY owned is local

This poll is of course being gamed because The Pub sent out mass email listings to all their mug club members to vote them up on this page. Lame.
But that’s okay, the Pub is overpriced, overcrowded, and the pretty but vapid servers don’t know anything about beer, really. Same for Fox and Hound. Give me some place local that has an incredible selection and good service that is gasp LOCALLY OWNED.
Blind Bob’s is my new favorite spot in the Oregon District, but Chappy’s is the best local bar.

Love Blind Bob’s! Friendly staff, amazing food, clear-as-a-bell sound system for when they host bands…these folks bend over backwards to make their customers feel at home. They even opened the kitchen late-night the night of my wedding to make my bride a grilled cheese following our reception. Bob, Lisa, Nate and their staff are tops!

What can I say? The Pub is my favorite spot in town to spend some quality time with my husband or friends. We enjoy the atmosphere and the staff is first class! We love Monday night Trivia. It is the BEST Bar for a good reason. You always feel welcome.

Blind Bob’s is the best! Great food, especially the burgers, awesome bar staff and the best karaokee in town on Wednesday nights.
