How lucky are we to have a list like this, and all the additions, of activities to take in. The GREAT Miami Valley. However, the one that puts it all together is defninitely the World A’Fair. I will try ot make as many of the others but the International Festival has it all.

All festivals are fun to attend, but the World A’Fair encourages local talent and local organizations to show off their stuff. Support our own local groups, Go International Festival!

The Centerville/Washington Township’s AMERICANA Festival was featured on ABC’s Saturday morning show in 2006 as one of the BEST summer festivals in the US. Why didn’t they make the voting list…shame. O-well, come on out and be one of the 75000 area residents and see for yourself why they were featured on ABC.

The Dayton Celtic Festival is by-far the best Festival in the Miami Valley, it brings together the culture, tradition, art, and music of the Celtic people to life in a three day period for your pleasure and intertainment.

Hands down the best Festival for Arts and Crafts is the Ohio Sauerkraut Festival. I love shopping there and start my holiday shopping during this festival because of the unique vendors they have. Great for the family because there is no alcohol. I would highly recommend!

Has to be hands down, Alefest. Imagine, right here in SW Ohio we have one of the pre-eminent beer festivals in the world. Hundreds of beers to test/taste and enjoy. Whether a beer novice or expert, there are styles and flavors for all. Great, great educational event. Cool venue at Carrilon Park as well.

Anytime you can mix great beer, with good people, and good music it is sure to be a fantastic time.

The best festival has to be the A World A’Fair. For a maximum of only $7.00 you can experience food and beverages from around the world. Also the cultural entertainment in is the best ever. Where can you see the Kenyon Acrobats for FREE as well all the other cultural groups.

Troy Strawberry Festival is by far the best. They have the best food, the friendliest people and the most fun and entertaining events. It is beneficial to the entire Miami Valley!!!!

By Trojan

The Troy Strawberry Festival is one of the premier festivals in the midwest and still holds true to the foundation it was built on. That is to provide a way for the non-profit organizations of Miami County to earn money by selling food, drinks or having games for children.

The arts and crafts, entertainment and other activities such as pie eating, Golden Couple, Litte Miss and Mr, Back Seat Driver, Saturday night concert are all added benefits to the festival.

By seriously?

I don’t recall the sweet cudgel festival. Where and when is it? If it agglutinates, though, maybe I best would miss it. Another one that is missing is the Preble County Pork Festival. As a CityFolk volunteer, I’m not going to be like the Rosatti’s employees and clog the voting.

Go back to the totally awesome '80s this weekend [things to do]

80s fashionista

"Back to the '80s," an area premiere, opens Friday, Nov. 6, for three weekends in Kettering. The retro show is an account of 1989 high school senior class, as recalled by a man in his 30s. Unrequited love, popularity (and its opposite), a debate about CDs replacing cassette tapes, student elections, a stolen speech, new kids in school and an English teacher in a magazine centerfold are among the plot lines. There are 20 songs, including "Footloose," "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and "You Give Love a Bad Name." Like, totally awesome! » More
