Hi - I am the owner of Rosati’s. And yes, Tom & Larry, I did vote for Rosati’s (Surprise!). I know that some or all of my staff did as well (but with a total of 12 employees, I;m not sure that would put a dent in the poll with one vote per computer allowed). We DID ask our cutsomers to vote for us IF they thought we were a great family restuarant. I am blessed to learn that we have so many loyal customers. Whether we win or not, Rosati’s has the GREATEST customers & staff! Thanks all!

The owners of Rosati’s cured my cancer! Their pizza has solved world hunger! Once the Somali pirates had a taste of Rosati’s calzones and played checkers with the grandma owner, they renounced piracy and have dedicated themselves to world peace….Osama Bin Laden himself would emerge from his cave if tempted by the fine kid-friendly atmosphere of Rosati’s!!!! Jeez, people, enough- its a little much- after a while we all know you own the place or work there….sublety is a lost art for them.

Mmm, Larry. yeah. Frischs is great. If you like dining with a bunch of red-necks, that is! Maybe Rosati’s actually has decent food and a place for families to eat? This is a COMPETITION, remember. So what if their employees and customers have access to the internet? This is a competition based on INTERNET voting. Lighten up, dude.

By larry

April 18, 2009 9:00 AM | Link to this

Gee, do you think Rosati’s is trying hard to win this? It looks like all their staff have access to the internet. Can you guys calm it down some? Half these places I would never take my family to because of either poor service or poor atsmophere. Honestly, Frickers? My children would love nothing more than watching overweight drunken men sit around watching sports. It’s there favorite pasttime. Really, half of these places are bars and the other half not worth the price. What about Frisch’s?

Hello all. Wanted to tell everyone about Rosatis. I drive 40 minutes once or twice a week to get my fix. I have tried just about everything. When I go in I feel very welcome in there. I often find the Grandma owner playing checkers with my children. I love Rosatis. je

Rosati’s is a great family. Great food and value. Thier pastas are REALLY good and the prices just right for families on a budget. You can get a family entree of Spaghetti with breadsticks for $20. We have 2 adults, a teen, and 2 younger kids and still have left overs. You can’t go wrong with that!

When I think about family restaurants, Friendly’s is the first place that comes to my mind. For overall value, this is the best place to go. It caters to kids, with an awesome kid menu and adult sized desserts included in the price. There are many other good restaurants on the list, but none that equal Friendly’s.

Here is the truth. I work at Rosatis. I think the food is amazing. i have worked at several food establishments in my life and usually after about 6 months you get tired of the food. Its going on 2 years for me and I still crave it daily. Sometimes the manager will make a pizza for the workers to share but is never enough to go around. I always say this is my last piece but I cant stop going back for more.

I grew up with Friendly’s, and over the years their service, quality, and thus their appeal has greatly degraded over time. The question involves family dining, not just kids dining. Young’s Dairy appeals to both parents and kids alike, and their customer service is second to none.

Rosati’s Pizza is THE best family restuarant. Very comfortable atmosphere and great food! On Monday nights, the kids are entertained by a clown that does magic tricks and face painting. On other nights, the kids are occupied in the game room or playing checkers so we can relax while waiting for our pizza. The kids love it yet it is a cozy little restuarant and you don’t have to yell over each other in order to be heard.

Friendly’s is definitely our pick, especially for our family of seven. The menu has so much to pick from, my wife and I always have such a difficult time choosing because it all looks so good. The kid’s menu is really out of this world. There is no other restaurant that we know of, that has so many menu items that kids really want to eat. From the wild and crazy drinks, to the awesome food, and then onto what they love best…………….THE ICE CREAM. It truly is a treat for our kids.

By Shari H

We vote for Friendly’s for so many reasons! Our daughters always ask to go there and it isn’t just for the ice cream. We know that they love their kid meals (especially the build your own sundaes!) and we love their prices because so much is included. We have taken family and friends there, and are planning our next birthday party to include a stop at Friendlys. I like the new menu that allows me to get a drink, a meal AND a sundae for one price. It makes me feel like a Big Kid! Yea Friendly’s!

By Spencer Layne

April 14, 2009 8:39 AM | Link to this

Friendly’s Dayton rocks! Though their world class ice cream never falls short of it’s reputation, the appetizers, salads, and entrees exceed the quality of other franchises while maintaining a price point short of the competition. Why pay more for lesser food from a competitors kitchen? Go to Friendly’s and let your wallet be as satisfied as your appetite!

Our vote is for Rosati’s in Springboro. The first time we were there was for a soccer party. They had an all ucan eat pizza and pop package that was great! And we got hooked on the pizza and family ambience. You feel like you’re visiting a friend - not a restuarant. The kids had a great time in the game room - and we all bonded over a game of checkers while waiting for our pizza. Great food, kid friendly !!!!

Go back to the totally awesome '80s this weekend [things to do]

80s fashionista

"Back to the '80s," an area premiere, opens Friday, Nov. 6, for three weekends in Kettering. The retro show is an account of 1989 high school senior class, as recalled by a man in his 30s. Unrequited love, popularity (and its opposite), a debate about CDs replacing cassette tapes, student elections, a stolen speech, new kids in school and an English teacher in a magazine centerfold are among the plot lines. There are 20 songs, including "Footloose," "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and "You Give Love a Bad Name." Like, totally awesome! » More
