Who's got the best margaritas in town?
We couldn't get out to sample all of them, but take comfort in the fact that we had more margaritas than any two people ever should have to drink over two weeks in April.

Take 75. Drive 65. Turn off onto Ohio 55. Ahead on the left, prepare to be rewarded if you stop and visit Club 55 — one of the newest upscale sophisticated bistro bars to hit the area.

It's hard to tell from the rough-sawn lumber clad building that so much color will greet you inside of Carmel's in Dayton, but when you step through the doors, it hits you — a palette of intense, blazing orange as far as the eye can see punctuated by accents of wood, bright paintings of full flowers and desert sunset scenes and an occasional beer sign. For those looking for a TV to catch the game, just about every seat in the house has a screen within sight.

So when the opportunity arose to visit the Wine Gallery and Café in downtown Dayton, the Lounge Lizards jumped at the chance.

The recently opened Rusty Bucket Corner Tavern in the new outdoor Dayton Mall area is one tavern you will want to check out. One rainy night not too long ago, the Lounge Lizards sought refuge in the Rusty Bucket. After our search for a seat at the bar proved fruitless, we sought the services of the hostess on duty. The hostess was on her way to seating us at a high-top table in the bar area, but noticed she could easily pull in another chair to make space for us at the bar. It was a small gesture that scored huge points.
