Wine tastings reborn for 2012
It’s great to see the full slate of wine-tasting venues back, rejuvenated from their holiday respite. And gracias to the Dayton-based wine listserv that painstakingly compiles these lists, week after week, month after month, and yes, year after year — just for us wine enthusiasts. We are not — no, wait — we ARE worthy!
One addition to the list — a wine dinner with a twist: McCormick & Schmick’s at The Greene in Beavercreek will host a five-course wine dinner that focuses on French family-owned wineries at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12. The cost is $60, which includes tip but not tax. The wine courses include a sparkler, a white, two reds and a dessert wine, each from a family-owned French winery; the food courses include Escargot-Stuffed Mushrooms, Pan-Fried Skate Wing, Maple-brined Duck and White Chocolate Cup with Dark Chocolate Mousse.
