Italian wine garden to highlight Alter Fish Fry
Members of the Alter Booster Association will be upping the ante at this year’s “Knight Out” fish fry from 7 p.m. to midnight on Friday, Feb. 26th by adding an upscale Italian wine garden to their event to be held at the high school, 940 E. David Road.
While the main gymnasium and cafeteria at Alter High School will be the primary center of activity for food and casino games, the auxiliary gym will house the wine garden, as well as an area for desserts and coffee and the event’s silent auction. Eight wines will be offered for sampling at a cost of $3 to $5. The $3 pours include Canyon Road pinot grigio, merlot and white zinfandel; $4 pours include Alma chardonnay, Barefoot Cellars moscato and Mirassou pinot noir; and $5 pours include Don Miguel Malbec and Louis Martini Cabernet Sauvignon.
Admission to the event is $15 at the door, and the event’s proceeds benefit Alter High School. Attendees must be 21 or older. For more information, contact booster association member Brian Short at (937) 271-5035.
