France’s wine terrorists use bombs to ‘protect’ their vineyards from competition
Yet more astonishing news out of France, this in the form of a Time Magazine story headlined “France’s Wine Terrorists.”
The story details the capture and apparent confession of a man who was using bombs as a means to protect his region’s vineyards from global competition — until his tactics apparently blew up in his face. Literally.
The French: Love their wines. Hate their wine laws. And sure don’t understand their politics — or the penchant for domestic terrorism among a handful of their countrymen.

Well, that’s one way to add gunflint to your wine I suppose… Somehow the idea of French terrorists (terroirists?) isn’t that scary…By DanD

I read the article and was surprised with the observation that “posing a bomb is their attempt to pose a question.” If that is the case then I wonder what type of answer their expect to receive? Also, can we now expect to receive wine reviews that include., “there is a hint of gunpowder on the nose and a slight nitrate finish?”
