Kettering restaurant to showcase new chef, menu in special event Sunday

KETTERING — Palermo’s Restaurant, 2667 South Dixie Drive, will introduce its new chef and some new menu items at a special event from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11.

Restaurant owner Mefail (Meef) Demenka said the restaurant is shifting to a more rustic Italian style that features homemade pasta and tomato sauce, under the direction of new chef Antonio LaFratta, who has 25 years of experience cooking Italian food in England, France and Germany.

At the Sunday event, a special tasting menu consisting of samples of bruschetta, fresh linguine and spaghetti with traditional or Bolognese sauce, and homemade tiramisu, will be available for $10. Red and white house wine will be available for $2 a glass. For more information or to make reservations, call 937-299-8888.
