Ribbon-cutting today for new Rene’s Gourmet Creations bakery in Dayton

DAYTON — Rene’s Gourmet Creations, 1101 W. Third St. in the Wright-Dunbar Business District, will host a ribbon-cutting and open house at 3 p.m. today, Dec. 6.

Rene’s Gourmet Creations is a full-service bakery and cafe owned by Courtney Rene Jones of Dayton. The bakery offers breakfast pastries such as cinnamon rolls, Danish, caramel-pecan sticky rolls and muffins; desserts such as cupcakes and chocolate-chip cookies; and lunch items that include sandwiches and red beans and rice. It is open from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturdays.
