Ribbon-cutting today for new pizza shop in Centerville

CENTERVILLE — A ribbon-cutting and grand opening is scheduled for this afternoon at the newest Cassano’s Pizza King restaurant at 995 S. Main St.

The ribbon cutting will occur at 3 p.m., and a grand-opening party is scheduled from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., featuring free samples of select menu items, according to Lora Cassano Hammons, director of community relations for the Kettering-based pizza chain that operates 34 company-owned restaurants in the Miami Valley. In addition, the new Centerville restaurant has an updated decor that will serve as a model for upcoming renovations to other Cassano’s Pizza King restaurants, Hammons said.

The new Cassano’s seats 25 and employs 12 people, Hammons said.

The hours of the new Centerville restaurant, which first opened to the public last month, are Sunday 11 a.m. to midnight, Monday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. to midnight, and Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 2 a.m.
