New Italian restaurant sets opening date
DAYTON — The new Italian restaurant called Roost that we first told you about back in August has set an opening date of Nov. 15.
The restaurant — owned by Dana Downs and Beth Hirschbach of Dayton, who also own and operate Black Rooster Pasta Bar & Catering at the Second Street Market — is located at 524 E. Fifth St. in the Oregon Historic District. The site is the former Las Americas restaurant that closed July 30. The space previously housed John Henry’s and Blue Moon restaurants.
The restaurant’s hours will be 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. For more information, call (937) 222-3100 or email roostdayton@gmail.com.
