Mexican chain closes Miamisburg restaurant, adds Kettering location

The El Rancho Grande restaurant at 59 S. Springboro Pike at the intersection of Ohio 741 and Ohio 725 in Miamisburg apparently closed for good after Saturday night, Jan. 15.

Owners of the El Rancho Grande chain, which operates about 15 locations in the Dayton and Cincinnati area, could not be reached Monday. Customers who dined at the restaurant just west of the Dayton Mall Saturday night were told about the impending closing and that business had been slow. The restaurant was not open Sunday afternoon, and an employee who was helping to load supplies from the restaurant into a truck Sunday afternoon confirmed the restaurant had closed.

El Rancho Grande operates two other restaurants in relative proximity to the Miamisburg restaurant: at 1020 Miamisburg-Centerville Road in Miami Twp. and at 2008 Alex Road in West Carrollton. And in late 2010, it added a restaurant in the Kettering-Moraine area at 2801 S. Dixie Drive when it took over a former Los 3 Amigos Mexican restaurant at that location. For more information about the new South Dixie location, call the restaurant at (937) 293-8821.
