Biker-friendly restaurant-bar slated to open in May

A biker-friendly restaurant and bar to be called Wild Hogs Roadhouse is scheduled to open in May at 6363 Farmersville-West Carrollton Road in Moraine.

The restaurant is the brainchild of lifelong Harley-Davidson fan and rider David Morgan, president of DEM Technology LLC, and his fiancee, Karen Kaylor, both residents of Washington Twp.

Kaylor said she and Morgan “have many long-term goals” for Wild Hogs Roadhouse and the 30 acres around it, including an outdoor stage for shows and festivals. “But first we want people to understand this will be a biker-friendly operation,” she said.

The restaurant will also be family-friendly, and will have a kids’ menu, Kaylor said.

The 4,300-square-food restaurant will seat about 160 inside and an additional 300 to 400 on its large, wrap-around deck and patio, Kaylor said. It will employ about 40 people, she said.

The couple has hired Greg Ingersoll and his son Kevin to operate Wild Hog’s food service. Greg Ingersoll has decades of experience in the Dayton-area restaurant scene, including most recently as operator of the City Flame Grill in Centerville. Ingersoll previously launched 4 River Place in Dayton and oversaw The Fairington in Sidney in addition to serving two decade-long stints at the Miami Valley Golf Club.

The restaurant’s extensive menu will include wraps, burgers, quesadillas and wings, as well as dinner-only items such as steaks, chops and ribs, Kaylor said. The restaurant will have a strong emphasis on service, she said. The soon-to-be restaurant owners say they’re already considering additional locations outside Ohio.

The 30-acre site is a former softball field close to both Miamisburg and West Carrollton. For more information about Wild Hogs Roadhouse, call (937) 223-3930.
