MetroParks hosting plant sales

Cox Arboretum MetroPark and Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark are hosting plant sales this month and next.

Cox’s Wildflower and Native Plant Sale will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 24. The MetroPark is on Springboro Pike in Miami Twp.

Wildflower Volunteer Group members will be on hand to lend gardening advice. All plants in this sale are propagated or rescued from local areas slated for development.

Wegerzyn’s MayFair is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 1, and noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 2. This MetroPark is on East Siebenthaler Avenue in Dayton.

Perennials, annuals, vegetables and herbs will be available. Volunteers and Master Gardeners can help guests pick out items, including hanging floral baskets that might make good gifts for Mother’s Day.
