Children’s fork, spoon sets recalled

It was announced this week by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission that some children’s fork and spoon sets by Peachtree Playthings of Atlanta have been recalled.

Don’t put these in your kids’ mouths.

Reportedly, the middle two prongs of the plastic fork can detach, posing a choking hazard to children.

The sets — which were sold with the likenesses of Scooby Doo, Tweety Bird and Batman — were sold at Dollar Tree Stores and Deals during January 2010 for about $1 per set.

Consumers are advised to immediately take the sets away from children and return them to Dollar Tree or Deals for a full refund.
