Nissan recalls minivans, trucks

The vehicle recalls continue, with Nissan being the latest to join the party.

CNN Money reported last night, March 2, that Nissan is recalling 540,000 vehicles worldwide to fix two separate issues: faulty brake pedal pins and inaccurate fuel gauges.

No accidents or injuries have been reported.

The brake pedal pin recall affects 2008, 2009 and 2010 Nissan Titan, Armada, Quest and Infiniti QX56 models.

Owners of these vehicles are advised to bring their vehicles to a Nissan or Infiniti dealership for a inspection, the company said. Repairs will be made as necessary.

The fuel gauge recall affects the 2005 through 2008 Nissan Titan, Armada and Infiniti QX56 models, as well as Nissan Frontiers, Pathfinders and Xterras produced between January and March 2006 and between October 2007 and January 2008.

Nissan reportedly will notify owners of the vehicles affected by the fuel gauge recall. But Nissan recommends keeping your tank half full in the meantime.

Agree with you - we Nissan owners buy American. My Titan was made in Canton MS. And Nissan didn’t require a taxpayer bailout!

Government Motors is smearing the competition. Expect the same strategy when the government owns health care. The government will eventually become the only choice, not by accident.

The majority of the money goes back to Japan,so you don’t help America that much. And I’m loving every single second of this fiasco. Seem like GM and FORD are pushing the Japanese so hard they are falling over their own feet. They thought they were invincible some years back, till we got involved. I Love It!!
