Disco, the 80s and the future make for a fun night on ‘Dancing’

Alright, folks. ‘Dancing with the Stars’ is starting to wrap up. We’ve got 5 couples left. Tonight each couple will dance two routines: 1 Ballroom, 1 Latin.

Instead of a play-by-play of the dances (you watched, did you not?) I’ll give my ranking for each round tonight and then an overall ranking for the night and a prediction for who will go home.

First up, the Ballroom Round.

5) Mya & Dmitry Chaplin
4) Donny Osmond & Kym Johnson
3) Joanna Krupa & Derek Hough
2) Aaron Carter & Karina Smirnoff
1) Kelly Osbourne & Louis Van Amstel

Pretty opposite from the judges leaderboard.

Round 2 is the Latin round. Each couple will pick an era to theme their dance.

My rankings?

5) Donny Osmond & Kym Johnson
4) Kelly Osbourne & Louis Van Amstel
3) Aaron Carter & Karina Smirnoff
2) Joanna Krupa & Derek Hough
1) Mya & Dmitry Chaplin

Overall my top pick for the night would be Joanna and Derek. They were great in both dances and are generally exceptional.

Tomorrow night will have 1 elimination. I think Donny & Kym should be worried. But Donny’s fans might save him. If that happens I think (sadly) Aaron & Karina are in danger.

Also on tomorrow’s results show will be singer Michael Buble and Britain’s Susan Boyle.

I can not understand why Kelly O, has stuck around. I mean the others have improved each week, she has shown little improvment. When she dances, it is not exciting, it is OH she is doing well. YET when you watch Derek/JoAnna, Donny/Kym,Mya/Dmitry dance, it is WOW What moves..Even Carter does much better then Kelly. Is it due to Ozzie being at the show each time. Please Have her or Carter go home tonight. I can’t stand to see either one stay. IMHO the Top #1 is Derek and JoAnna with Kym and Donny with Mya 3rd. Each week they improve, the other two just -as Len would say- You Did well, Good Job..

Think spring with help from art exhibit [things to do]

California Impressionism

So you're ready for spring and you'd love to get away from it all, but that simply isn't in the picture at the moment. Well, thanks to the Dayton Art Institute and The Irvine Museum, what is in the picture is a soothing alternative: a visit back in time to California's lush and gorgeous landscapes in an era when they were still pristine. "All Things Bright & Beautiful," the new exhibit that recently opened at the DAI, is aptly named. The colorful collection of 60 turn-of-the century California Impressionist paintings is irresistible. Forty-four artists are represented. » More

LIke Asian food? Here are some restaurants worth trying [restaurants]

Asian food

The Miami Valley's Asian dining scene continues to welcome impressive newcomers as it blossoms and diversifies. Dayton-area Asian food enthusiasts now have access to great diversity of dishes and cuisines. Chinese cuisine dominated the Asian dining landscape 20 years ago and remains a potent force. But today there are far more Thai and Korean options available locally, and Vietnamese and Japanese restaurants, including sushi bars, have increased. Here's a sampler platter of a few of the relatively new (or newer) Asian restaurants well worth trying. More »
