Top Chef 5 to feature West Chester Chef

Season 5 of Bravo TV’s hit series, ‘Top Chef,’ is set to premiere Nov. 12 and appears to have a local connection.

The show features 17 chefs who compete in sizzling culinary challenges as they vie for the title of ‘Top Chef.’ Among the contestants is Lauren (24), who Cincinnati.com has identified as Lauren Starling Hope. Lauren lists her profession as Chef Tournant at Jag’s Steak and Seafood in West Chester.

Cincinnati.com lists Lauren as a 2002 graduate of Lakota West High School.

The Ohio native’s culinary curiosity was ignited by the Easy Bake Oven she received back in the day. Hasboro would be so proud.

Filming for this season of Top Chef took place in New York earlier this year and will feature Martha Stewart, Eric Ripert and others as guest judges.
