Let the battle of the David’s begin! “American Idol” Latest Update - Results Show

“Ain’t No Stopping Us Now” by McFadden & Whitehead opened tonight’s “American Idol.” Too bad there is stopping one of the Idol wannabes after America cast more than 56 million votes narrowing the Idol 7 cast to two.

Fantasia helped to get the crowd worked up tonight (May 14) with her electrifying performance and her electrifying red hair.

To get the drama going Ryan calls David Archuleta to the stage as we watch him on his trip home… tears and all. Ryan drags out the result suggesting the race is tight. Rather than giving us the result the show cuts away to another montage of Archuleta on his Idol journey… now a commercial.

Now it’s Syesha’s turn with Ryan. This time we travel with Syesha back to her home town where the people of Florida like to throw their babies at the Idol wannabe… and tear for Syesha too. I’m guessing we’ll travel along with David Cook before we find out who is out.

Yep, now it is David Cook’s turn to share his trip back to his hometown with America. In one of the more revealing tid bits. David is actually on the show because of his brother. It was is brother who was to audition. But in a quirky turn of events, it’s David who is one of the Idol contestants this season.

Cook’s trip back home included parades, cheerleaders and tears…

But who goes… more delays in getting the results… finally?….

Going tonight is…

I had hoped 3-4 weeks ago that it would end up the way it has with the Davids both left. I truly enjoy both of them, but obviously for different reasons. DA excels at the feel-good songs and has a sweet voice, but I’m always looking forward to hearing what David Cook is going to sing and how he’s going to change it to fit his style. He is truly gifted in this area…his Billie Jean was a perfect example of that. It blew everyone away and for good reason. He has had some problems with some of the songs recently but you have to admit there is the potential for greatness there.

I hated to see Syesha go, but I am so happy that she made it as far as she did. She was better than all the girls and most of the guys. I hope David Cook wins.

Syesha was the correct choice to go home. She deserved to be in the top 3 because she gave great performances for the last couple of weeks, especially last week. David Cook is my pick for winner this year. He is ready and able to bring credibility back to AI. Everyone needs to vote for DC. Don’t take it for granted he’ll win. And you really don’t want to hear more old fashioned songs, do you? You will if DA wins. We want DC and his new (cookiefied) songs! Vote for DC next Tuesday night (9-11 pm if it is the same time).

They Promised The Moon, The Stars, And Heaven Above. And just like Charlie Brown I got a rock. As a songwriter who’s parents were songwriters, like them I write because I love it. It’s never been about the money. But when the NUMBER ONE SHOW ON TELEVISION says they’re looking for some amateur to write the Next Great American Idol Finale Song. Wow! The first thing that crossed my mind was…..MILLIONS! Millions of people. Millions of cd’s. Millions of dollars. Millions. I’m betting I’m not the only one…….of Millions. It’s Time For Some Answers! This is the second year in a row that American Idol has had a songwriting contest. Since the contest ended last year I’ve researched the contestants from last year and this year….FYI there were over 25,000 entries last year at $10.00 for each song. 20 songs were then chosen out of the 25,000 for an online vote. The winner’s song is then performed on the American Idol Finale. The problem I have is that one of THIS years Top 20 Songwriting Finalist is a Co-writer of LAST years Top 20 Songwriting Winner. Somebody from American Idol has some explaining to do. If you want proof of fraud. americanidolexposed.weebly.com

Finally! She should have gone home awhile back. If David C doesn’t win it’s only because David A has an auto phone dialer.
