Local American Idol contestant from Huber Heights

Despite Fox’s attempts to keep American Idol information secret, info continues to swirl around the Internet.

Last week, I posted a story about the possibility of a local contestant on Idol - While these reports remain unconfirmed - digging a little deeper, I believe I’ve located an audition photo for a Huber Heights resident, Mia Coleman.

MiaColeman.jpg

Now listed as 18 (Happy Birthday), Coleman’s other myspace page, shows her hometown as Huber Heights rather than the first posting, which showed Dayton as her hometown.

In a separate posting, www.pasadenastarnews.com has posted a video of 16 Idol contestants “filming a commercial” on the steps of City Hall in Pasadena. Mia doesn’t appear to be a part of the group but there were 8 people missing and who knows if these 16 were in fact was part of the group of 24 semi-finalists.

Isn’t it cool to have a potential local area connection?

A lot of people in Hubertucky care - good luck Mia! It’s great for our fair city and Wayne HS to be getting noticed for something so positive!

Isn’t “local” and “from Huber Heights” redundant? Or are you from Hu-Briar Heights?

WOW!!! Someone from Huber-tucky, found the way out of town. I didn’t think anyone back in Dayton knew their way out of town. Of course this makes news, since nothing else goes on in Dayton.

This is one of my fovorite shows and think it is neat that someone from the area is on it, if only for their 15 mins of fame.
