Marsha, Marsha, Marsha

I can’t help but think that Christopher Knight, a.k.a. Peter Brady, from The Brady Bunch fame, is acting a little like his older TV sibling, Marsha, draining all the spotlight onto himself. Chris accepted advice from his former TV mom, Florence Henderson about his relationship with Adrianne Curry, America’s Next Top Model.

Flo advised him to ask Adrianne to move out and get a place of her own. She said that it was not good for their relationship but in another sentence pointed out their 25 year age difference. I think that may have been the real reason she gave the advice she did.

Chris takes Flo’s advice and at a very romantic, make-up for missing Valentine’s Day dinner, he springs the news on her.

The poor girl did not know what to do. Smile, cry, run from the scene. They spend most of each episode in bed being intimate. He goes and spends all this time and energy on a very romantic dinner (with a special gift!) and then tells her that she needs to move out. I would be confused too!

Chris, Chris, Chris. Make up your mind and quit toying with the poor girl’s emotions. If you can’t live with her now, how are you going to live with her later? As someone stated in the show, you can’t have your cake and eat it too.

I find myself hoping that My Fair Brady is highly scripted, because if this is representative of Chris’s behavior toward his loves, we may be able to understand his two previous divorces. Bouncing back and forth between glee over having a supermodel dominatrix in his bed and total fear at possibly having to make a commitment, Chris is a bad advertisement for 40-something men everywhere. Sigh. And I used to have such a crush on Peter Brady. “When its time to change!”
