Another ‘Halloween’ by Rob Zombie!? Who cares
Rob Zombie is going to make a sequel to his remake of Halloween and I am wondering why.
Did you watch his remake of the classic horror film? I tried. I could only get through about 15 minutes of it before I turned it off. Guess I was the only since it must have done well enough for them to consider a sequel.
The biggest problem I had with his remake was the back-story (which will continue in the sequel since they have slated the actor who played young Michael Myers to return). I don’t care about how Myers became a serial-killer. What made the original film so great was Myers’ inhuman nature. There was no explanation given for Myers transformation and that’s what made him so creepy. He just decided to stab his sister and her boyfriend to death one night for no apparent reason.
A little boy snapping into a serial killer is much more terrifying than a little boy progressing into a serial killer.
What do you think? Should I watch Zombie’s remake all the way through? Did I give up on it too quickly? Will you see the sequel?
