New Monroe IGA

On Monday, Aug. 25, Munafo’s Jubilee Foods on S. Main Street in Monroe will end its reign as a community grocery store and will be replaced by a new family grocer. Tim Finke and his family will take over the Munafo Seven Inc. Jubilee store that has been a mainstay in Monroe for more than six years and open under new management as Finke’s Monroe IGA. The Finke family and their employees are planning to provide customers with a friendly hometown atmosphere, reasonable prices and quality service. Finke says he also has some new plans for the store, such as adding a bakery, which will feature in-house fresh baked bread and donuts, a key machine and a wider selection of meats. So, as a longtime Jubilee shopper, will you now shop at the new IGA or switch your loyalty and start visiting Kroger up the road on Heritage Green? Find out more about the store by reading next Thursday’s, Aug. 28, Monroe edition of The Pulse Journal.

I have not been in IGA for years, but that will all change since my last visit. The store was very clean, friendly people, and fast. The owner is very cute too!

Amelia's Bistro, Bellbrook, restaurant review [review]

Call it comfort food, gourmet style. From crab raviolis with vanilla lobster sauce, to a hand-cut and brined pork chop served with a fig jam, to a simply "Big-Ass Cake" that's a chocolate lover's dream, Amelia's has the potential to become a destination restaurant — worth the drive to Bellbrook.
