School district receives money
Monroe schools will receive $445,000 — 11 percent of its state aid — due to a budget correction bill that passed in the state legislature that recalculated aid to Ohio’s 610 school districts. Middletown will also benefit, getting $1.5 million, the largest amount of the state’s districts. Some Ohio districts, such as West Carrollton and Northridge, will have to pay back more than $200,000 to the state by receiving lower payments than anticipated this fall. Read more about this in the June 24 edition of The Middletown Journal and Dayton Daily News.

Thanks for all your great information on Monroe. I have actually been looking at moving to this area - thanks to the help of a great site called Property Maps (www.propertymaps.com). This site allowed me to look at specific areas using a google maps/mls mash-up. I fell in love with this area - and have learned a lot more about thanks to your information.
