Try one of these bars to calm your fears after a Haunted House

It’s never too early to get into the Halloween spirit - at least according to the stores that start putting candy and decorations out in July.

This week, you can start the haunting season off with the TattooedTV.com Halloween Bash (details below).

If you’re checking out one of the area haunted houses for some scares, why not make a night of it and head to one of these nearby bars?

After all, you may need a strong drink to steady your hand after you scream like a little girl.

Haunted Garage, 7373 Bard Road, Tipp City, (937) 667-0121

If you’re going to the Haunted Garage, you won’t be far from N. Dixie Drive in Vandalia, home to Wings Sports Bar and Grille, Oscars Sports Bar and Grill, and Dixie Cowgirls nightclub.

Wings, 7902 N. Dixie Drive, is the place for pool, darts and late night food. Their kitchen is open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

Oscars, 320 N. Dixie Drive, hosts live music Saturdays. Upcoming acts include Diddley on Oct. 23 and Brothers in Arms Band on Oct. 30.

Dixie Cowgirls, 5500 N. Dixie Drive, has karaoke Thursday nights and sexy bull riding competitions every Saturday.

Nightmare on Valley Street Haunted Trail, 4355 Valley St., Dayton, (937) 39-SCARE

Head around the corner to Double Deuce, 17 Brandt St., for pool, darts, cornhole and drink specials including $3 Lil’ beer shots on Mondays, $1 drafts for ladies on Tuesdays and $4 Jaeger Bombs on Wednesdays.

Springboro Haunted Hayride and Black Bog, 6070 Springboro Road, Lebanon

The Springs Bar and Grill, 80 Edgebrooke Drive, Springboro, is just up the road with live music every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. Every Tuesday and Saturday is also bike night with food and drink specials for riders.

Salem’s Lot Haunted Carnival, 5200 Salem Ave., Dayton

Head to Boston’s Bistro and Pub, 7500 N. Main St., Dayton, where there are always new craft beers to try and usually a cheap beer and pizza special available. They’ll be tasting Halloween Biers on Oct. 14.

Slash Moraine, 3800 Main St., Moraine

Zippers Sports Bar (319 W. Central Ave., West Carrollton), Upper Deck Tavern (2651 Blanchard Ave., Moraine), and Coyote’s Pub, (5853 Springboro Pike, Dayton) are all within two miles of this haunted water park destination.
