Say ‘Happy Birthday USA’ at these holiday weekend bar events
It’s your patriotic duty to party this holiday weekend, so here are some suggestions of things to do at local bars if you need a break from the fireworks displays, parades, festivals and fried food.
If you’re heading to the CityFolk Festival at the newly renovated RiverScape MetroPark, be sure to stop by the patio of The 88 Club, just around the corner at 219 N. Patterson Blvd. They’ll be patriotically partying it up all weekend.
They’ll be grilling on the patio throughout the festival offering pork chops, sausages, brats, hot dogs and draft beer.

— July 2, Tommy and Co. live from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.

— July 4, Old School, New Swagg Fourth of July Jam featuring DJ Sixth Sense from the Russ Parr Morning Show. Tickets available at the Schuster Center Ticket Center Stage for $15.50.
