Zombie Walk one of three bar events for good causes this weekend
It may not be a long weekend, but there is plenty going on at Dayton bars to fill your first days off in June.
Zombie Walk
It’s time for the now annual invasion of the zombies. Last June 5, zombies wandering the Oregon District for fun. This year, they have more on their agenda than eating brains. The roving undead will be collecting canned goods to feed those who prefer food to flesh.
The walk will begin at 11 p.m. in the former Gem City Records parking lot in the Oregon District, where canned goods can be dropped off. Then the zombies let loose down Fifth Street. If you dare to get close, you could probably give them some canned goods along the way.
The walk ends at Club Vex for an after-party worthy of the afterlife.
Vex will also host a pre-party where those wishing to join the zombie fun can get their makeup done by Universal Studio artist Lee Ann VanArtsdalen. There is no cover for the pre-party, but a $10 donation for makeup work will keep you from getting bitten. Canned good donations will also be accepted throughout the night at Club Vex.
The walk is open to all ages, but the pre and after-party are 18 and up only.
