Pimps and Ho’s welcome at Vex this week

Some bar best bets for your weekend - which starts on Thursday, in case you didn’t know.

Pimps and Ho’s Costume Contest

Vex wants you to come dressed as what? - yes, pimps and ho’s. Could this be construed as offensive to women, pimps, and intelligent people everywhere - yes. But it’s just for fun, so play along. You could even win some cash. There will be a $200 first prize for the best costume, judged by guest judge Playmate Alison Waite (Miss May 2006) Plus music by Skratchmatik, Magic Jackson, Daughters and Sons and Skilless Villains.

If you’re looking for some guidance on what to wear to win big, check out some of the costume contest “rules” from Facebook.

1. All Pimp’s who appear at the party with at least two (2) Ho’s prior to the strike of midnight shall be eligible to win.

2. Finalists will be selected by a group of judges who will be roaming the crowd finding the mackest Pimp’s with the sexiest Ho’s. The top five (5) Pimp’s and Ho’s will then appear on stage for the Finals at 12:45 a.m. The top three win cash prizes. (We’re sure the pimps will split the winnings evening with their ho’s, right?)

Once-ler, Blaxeed and C. Wright’s Parlour Tricks at J-Alans

Leave the costumes at home and head out for some good ol’ fashioned live music at J-Alans this Saturday. Doors open at 8 p.m. for a night of tunes and drink specials including $3, 24 oz. LaBatt Blues, and 16 oz. Old Milwaukee beers on special.
