A weekend’s worth of “hot” bar events
As April gives way to May, the action at local bars is really starting to heat up. In fact this weekend you can take your pick of “hotties” handing out liquor, hot Halloween costumes, or just plain hot girls at South Beach’s “Hottie Hunt”.
It seems hard to believe, but if April had 31 days that last day would fall exactly 6 months from Halloween. So why wait? Vex is throwing a Halfway to Halloween bash this Friday complete with a costume contest. DJs Kris, Matt Freeman and Infidel-icious will be spinning the usual Friday mix of Industrial, Goth, EBM, Darkwave and Synthpop.

You’ve seen them out at local clubs handing out drinks and doing promotions, and you’ve thought to yourself, “I could do that!” Well here’s your chance ladies.
Splash Hottie Promotions and SH Models is holding the 2010 Dayton “Hottie Hunt” at South Beach Nite Club this Friday. Their looking for fun, attractive women to join their team and do promotions, modeling and even reality TV.
ShootToKill Photography will be on hand taking photos of all interested ladies. Everyone that does the two photo audition will receive a free 4x6 photo to keep.
It’s up to the guys to cheer on the ladies. Plus everyone can enjoy music by DJ Chris Rock, $2 Jello shots, body shots with the Splash Hotties and food from the South Beach Grille. VIP tables with bottle service are available.

Boston’s Bistro and Pub has been chosen as the Dayton ZWACK Headquarters by the distributor of Hungarian ZWACK liquor. This Friday the ZWACK’etts will be buying ZWACK shots for all and handing out prizes. ZWACK shots will be $3 and bombs $4. Get there at 7 p.m. and you could be featured in an internet promotional video. Where: Boston’s Bistro and Pub, 7500 North Main St., Dayton

Garden Station isn’t a bar, but it’s a really cool place to spend a relaxing afternoon. Celebrate Spring with an outdoor concert featuring Anterius, Emily and the Lost Cat Ramblers, Reggie Stone, The Ohms, Lyle, Under the Sun, Tanuki, Jesse and Schaffer.

Two reasons to head to the bars this week
Two parties not to miss this week:
T.G.I. Friday’s Flair Exhibition and Party
If you love your drinks with a little bit of flair and a lot of show, then T.G.I. Fridays in Huber Heights is the place to be this Tuesday. Brian Zachau, who recently was crowned the “Greatest T.G.I. Friday’s Bartender in the World,” will be performing bartending tricks and making treats. Paul Trzcianko of “Liquid Motion Flair Bartending” also will be performing along with the Dayton location’s own bartenders who have been training with Zachau.
T.G.I. Friday’s bartenders are the ones who ‘“trained” Tom Cruise for the movie Cocktail, so you could learn some tricks of your own, or just enjoy a good show.
The party starts at 7 p.m. and DJ Jason Skusa from Jamre Entertainment will be providing the music. Happy hour prices will be available from 4 to 8 p.m. with $1 off all drinks and $4 appetizers.

Spring Break in the Burg
It’s time for Miamisburg’s annual spring pub crawl. Eight different bars will host the party including a free appetizer at each location from 6 to 8 p.m. and the first drink half price from 6 to 9 p.m. at each location. Buy a passport at any location and get it stamped at each stop.
Prizes will be drawn for completed passports including a $500 gift card package. They’ll have live entertainment at each bar and carriage rides between each location for safe travel.

Two bars offering deals for Dragons fans
It’s officially baseball season and local bars want you to support our Dayton Dragons. Check out these two specials and enjoy a day or night at the ballpark.
Taggart’s annual outing to the ballpark is this Saturday. $25 gets you a ticket to the centerfield party deck at Fifth Third Field, a bus to and from Taggart’s and the game, a Dragon’s visor, and a free cookout including a Miller Light draft at Taggart’s before the game. Spots on the bus are limited so call to reserve a spot.
Where: Taggart’s Pub, 970 Patterson Road, Dayton
When: Game is at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 17, cookout will start around 4 p.m.

Boston’s Pizza and Tickets Deal
Boston’s is bringing back their pizza and baseball deal for another season. Stop in for a 9-inch pizza and get two Dragon’s tickets, all for $24. The seats are the third row on the third base side.
