Where’s your favorite bar in the Dayton area?

Everyone has a favorite bar.

Whether it’s a place to groove with your friends, a place for a potential hookup, a place to watch the game, a place to eat, drink and be merry or just a place to kick back and relax, we want to know which one’s your favorite.

Best Bar is up for official vote in ActiveDayton.com’s weekly Best of Dayton poll beginning Monday, Oct. 26. And we need your help to assemble the list of nominees that will appear on the poll.

Please visit the Best of Dayton nominations page at ActiveDayton.com and nominate your favorite bar. The bars that earn the most nominations this week will be the ones included in next week’s poll.

So make sure you tell us your favorite by noon Monday, Oct. 26.

And don’t forget to come back next week and actually cast your official vote!

Just think of this as a warm-up to Election Day.

l like the Paradise Key Cafe.(formerly the Need-one-more) lt’s like being on some island with the thatched roof and all. Theres even a grass skirted beauty standing in on of the rooms! Seems like there’s always something going on: Music, open mike, etc. The island theme is continued outside in the open patio—smokers delight. Fridays all you can eat fish and ALWAYS those delightful chicken wings. See ya, headed that way !

The newly remodled McGuffy’s is great. They’ve cleaned the place up quite a bit and the staff is friendly and professional. They have a lot of great original music there. It’s great environment to blow of the stress of the day.

I nominated Dizzy’s at Airway and Woodman, but I don’t see my comment that was posted earlier…what happened to it, DDN?

Dizzy’s at Airway and Woodman has the best Karaoke on Friday nights with Kirk. Some of these Friday nights are epic…some really great singers. Lots of fun.

I broke Kirk in at O’gradys. But the best bar is Grill’s Tavern, they have great karaoke on Friday with Gordon and Rhonda

First St. Admission is five canned or otherwise non-perishable food items, but vouchers benefiting the food bank can also be purchased at the restaurant and bar. The evening will include pole dance, burlesque, live music, darts, cornhole, classic cars, pin-up photo opportunities, makeup and hair demonstrations. More »
