Where’s the best place to watch the Bucks?

Are you ready for some football?

Sept. 5 marks the official start of the OSU season, followed quickly by the NFL kickoff Sept. 10. Is your bar the place to be on Saturdays or Sundays?

Bar owners: We want to know which bars are offering deals on food or drinks for faithful fans? Which are open special hours for those noon games? Which are banning Michigan games from their flat screens?

Let us know what football specials you’re offering this season, and we may feature your bar on ActiveDayton.com. You can leave a comment here or email us at activedayton@coxohio.com.

I’m not a fan of Buffalo Wild Wings. Loads of sauce choices for minscule wings, astronomical prices, failed attempts at serving import beers and microbrews (here’s a hint - don’t serve them in frosty mugs and the same temp as Miller Lite. Beers like these should be cool, not ice cold) and the most uncomfortable seating of any bar in America. I have no idea why anyone goes there.

Besides sitting @ home with the kids and watching,I would say Taggarts Pub is the best. !st it is not a chain so we are keeping it local, second its family run and you feel like part of the family. 3rd, tons of t.v’s and a Buckeyes club that gets you a shirt and special prices on drinks(I think) and free grub. Cant beat the friends you will make and the good times you will have as to going to some cookie cutter “sports” bar and being treated like a #. So if you want a good place to check out the games Tag’s is it

If I can’t be inside Ohio Stadium, then the best place is in the RV lots located near the Schottenstein Center up at OSU! We take our tailgate bus to Columbus for every home game and party with the Best Damn Fans In The Land from sunrise until we pass out after the game. Can’t beat it. Hundreds of vehicles with thousands of fans cheering for the Buckeyes. O - H - I - O !!! GO BUCKS!!!

I vote for Big Dave’s idea. Those lots are full of the best fans. That and Hineygate on Lane Ave. near the stadium.

For those in the Oxford area, Buffalo Wild Wings is the best option for Buckeyes and Redhawks football. With our new AV package we will be televising games in HD quality picture and sound! Saturday College Football Special: 5 bottles of beers for $10! Bud, Bud Light, or Bud Select. We are Oxford’s home for sports!

I’m going to second Taggart’s on Wilmington. Great, friendly staff, good drink prices, no stuck up attitudes like some of the d-bags who work at BW’s, and typically very friendly customers.

I ditto Kevin’s post! Taggart’s is the best Buckeyes place. Bama will cook you a burger and Sarah will have your beverage chilled and waiting!

By far Rooster,s by the Dayton Mall. Wings are great, beer is flowing, andf the waitresses are quite yummmy! Usually only standing room only so get there early….did I mention the yummy waitresses? Yeow!

Buffalo Wings and Rings Centerville. Wings better than BW3. That is where we will be Saturday.

If I lived in the Dayton area, I would go to Grill’s Tavern at 4949 N. Union Road. I will be watching UGA whip up on the other OSU, the one in Stillwater, OK. Don’t forget the OU Sooners are going to defeat BYU at the Dallas Cowboys new digs. Boomer Sooner, Boomer Sooner.

manbearpig does have a point, Rooster’s by the Dayton Mall (not in Dayton by the way) does have some really cute wait staff working there—and you can get Italian dressing on your salad there without fear of being thrown in Jail or being sued.

Best place to watch the game is in the stadium. Second best place is at home, away from all the drunken idiots, half of which have never been to college, let alone Ohio State.

The best place is in any bar near the Shoe in Columbus. After the game, then outside behind the bars on Lane Ave for entertainment. You just can’t beat the atmosphere of it all.

I go to Frickers south. I wear a genuine jersey of the Bucknuts opponent. I got my Navy and USC jersey’s ready to go. Its great when my team scores against the Bucknuts and I jump up screaming. I’ve had beer thrown at me. Bucknut fans are the worst !!!!

By No more Hineygate : (

For those whom have not heard…Hineygate is no more : (. Nobody listen to Fredo, BuckeyeNation welcomes all! I am one of the lucky 105,000+ that regularly attend. For away games, Im happy as long as I have friends, adult beverages and TV/Audio of the game. During night games we project the game on the side of the house! Awesome! GO BUCKS!

We went to Buffalo Wings and Rings on Saturday to watch the OSU Vs. Navy game. The atmosphere was great, plus you get a 100oz. beer tube for $12.99!! I will be there every Saturday from here on out!!

Flanagan’s is my pick. No kids running around, nice tv’s, the wings are big, and service is good.

Buffalo Wings and Rings has horrible food and service. I personally prefer Frickers or Caddies and yes to Fredo, I’m glad you had beer thrown at you since you purposefully wore the opposing team’s jersey to try to p**s people off. I’m sorry it wasn’t me doing it! Go Bucks!

“I’m glad you had beer thrown at you since you purposefully wore the opposing team’s jersey to try to p**s people off.” Typical entitled OSU attitude. You can’t wear a shirt that makes me mad, and if you do, then I will throw beer on it. People like this a-hole are why it’s so great to see all the looks on the white trash OSU fans when they can’t beat a big name team like USC. How’d it feel getting beat by a rookie at home? If I could, I’d bottle that look up and sell it.

The genius chained to the official table, should die or go mad, in the same way, as the person with a mighty constitution at sedentary life and modest behavior dies of an apoplectic seizure.
