Craig Schrolucke and Alexis Larsen are good buddies who love a trendy hot spot as much as they do a worn out hole in the wall provided the service is as good as the items being served up. They also love bar talk and all that it entails and are more than happy to belly up to this bar blog and do just that.

BIG DEAL. What did you think they were offering, 5 drinks for 6 dollars? Be real. $6.00+ is the norm at the overpriced, watered down, we think our place is great, Flem-in-the-throat Restaurant. Good play on numbers! Give yourself a raise.By Jack M.

@ Ron What are you talking about? The article says 5 for $6… it isn’t a play on numbers. You can have 5 cocktails for $6 or 5 glasses o’ wine for $6 or 5 appetizers… stop complaining for the sake of complaining.By burns

I think it could mislead some people after all like the Arby’s 5 for $5.95 means you get 5 roast beef for a total of $5.95 ($1.19 each) where this 5 for 6 til 7 means the items are $6 each. People who have been there probably realize what the deal is because they know how expensive Flemings is but some people who have never been there might not know what type of place it is and think they are walking into a cheap place like Arbys. I had the best tasting steak of my life there but it’s a little too pricey for me given how the economy is going.By Loop

I guess folks need some background info, Alexis. This national chain is SUPER expensive, especially when you consider the Dayton dining mentality. One can easily drop $150 on dinner for two in this place. Google “flemings steak” and see for yourselves. And for that matter, MANY reviewers have been disappointed in the quality of the meal when considering the HIGH price, so be forewarned!!!By WAYoverpriced

Jack, read the article again. It says EACH selection is $6. We ate there for the first time and was not impressed. Over $140 for two people is a bit much and we didn’t have drinks or appetizers. When dining for a special occasion, I’d prefer Carvers, who has much better steaks. Even Longhorn is better than Flemmings!By n50

Should I try and do some more? 25 or 6 to 4?
